AeroBull HD

AeroBull HD

Make sure your product is running the latest firmware and take the following steps:

  1. Power on one speaker first
  2. Put the speaker into left channel mode by holding down at the same time for about 3 seconds Volume down and Power button until you hear the jingle “Speaker Left”
  3. Power On the second speaker
  4. Put the speaker into right channel by holding down at the same time for about 3 seconds Volume up and Power button until you hear the jingle “Speaker Right”
  5. Wait a few seconds for the jingle “Device connected”
  6. Pair the Bluetooth device of your preference to the speaker and wait for the jingle “Device connected”
  7. You can now start the music streaming

If you have connected a pair of speakers in True Wireless mode and you wish to unpair them, take the following steps:

  1. Unpair your smartphone, computer or Bluetooth device from the speaker(s)
  2. Press volume up and volume down buttons on both devices for about 3 seconds until you hear the jingle “True Wireless Off”

You’ll now be able to connect to each individual speaker and True Wireless mode won’t be active unless you pair the speakers again.

Here are the system requirements for the upgrading your speaker’s software:

  • Microsoft Windows (compatible with 7, 8 or 10)
  • USB port on your computer
  • USB to micro USB cable
  • AeroUpdate application for your speaker’s model which you can download here.

Procedure:

  1. Plug your speaker to external power using the AC cord.
  2. Turn on the speaker and connect it to your Windows computer using Micro USB cable.
  3. Double click on the firmware upgrade and a Windows Wizard will guide you through the upgrade.

Currently, a computer running Windows is required to do firmware updates.
A MacOS-compatible updater will be available sometime soon.

You can clean the speaker by using a humid soft cloth. DO NOT use chemicals! Use of chemicals may damage the product permanently and will void the warranty.

Previous versions of the product had a bass feature that allowed the user to boost or reduce the lower frequencies of the speaker. The feature has been discontinued since, and the button on the remote control has been deactivated.

This happens when your iPhone, iPod or iPad is on shuffle mode. Make sure your device is not on shuffle mode. When the iPod or iPhone is on shuffle mode, the Rewind acts like Back and Forward, going to the next random song.

Try to enter either 0000 or 9999. If that doesn’t work, please contact our support via website.

Important: this is a Full System Update procedure

Note that the file name must be named askull.hex. The system will not recognise the file if it is named differently. If the file you have is named in a different way, rename it to askull.hex

Update procedure

For the steps of performing USB firmware update for MCU.

  • Plug the power supply into the unit.
  • Press the power button and hold it down for 5 seconds.
  • Release the button as soon as the white LED located between the glasses will flash slowly (~1Hz)
  • Connect the Thumb drive (USB Stick) containing the “.hex” file to the Micro USB – USB OTG cable.
  • Connect the OTG Cable to the Micro USB port of the AeroSkull HD
  • The Blue and White LED will flash alternatively until the software upgrade it completed.
  • Wait until the unit is up again and the LEDs stop flashing, the new firmware should be installed at this point.

How to verify Software version

Dock your iPhone / iPod on the AeroSkull HD

Known issues

The white LED keeps flashing after I have plugged the OTG cable to the Micro USB port

Possible solutions:

  • Make sure the file is named correctly askull.hex
  • There should be no other file in the memory stick apart then askull.hex
  • Make sure your memory stick has been formatted as FAT32

Currently, a computer running Windows is required to do firmware updates.
A MacOS-compatible updater will be available sometime soon.

There are few ways you can tell the difference between the two models:

  1. Is the serial number of the two products is different:
    • AeroSkull XS – the fist few digits of the serial number will be either ML8004 or ML8005
    • AeroSkull XS + – the fist few digits of the serial number will be either ML8006 or ML8007
  2. The AeroSkull XS + does not have a line-out port.

Try to enter either 0000 or 9999. If that doesn’t work, please contact our support via website.


AeroSkull Nano

AeroSkull Nano

You can clean the speaker by using a humid soft cloth. DO NOT use chemicals! Use of chemicals may damage the product permanently and will void the warranty.

Try to enter either 0000 or 9999. If that doesn’t work, please contact our support via website.

Make sure you take the following steps.

  • Fully charge the product. For the first change make sure you charge it for about 12 hours
  • Press and hold the ON/OFF button located at the back of the product for about 2 seconds.

If you still have issues please contact our support via website.

If your AeroSkull Nano doesn’t turn on, you may need to perform a slow or extended charge of the battery. To do so, please try plugging/unplugging the charging cable a few times every 5 seconds or so, then leave it charging for a couple of hours.

If the procedure above doesn’t work, please contact our support via website.

The AeroSkull Nano does not support True Wireless Stereo. This feature is only available in the AeroBull HD, AeroBull XS1, AeroSkull HD and AeroSkull XS models.


AeroTwist

AeroTwist

Currently, a computer running Windows is required to do firmware updates.
A MacOS-compatible updater will be available sometime soon.

You can clean the speaker by using a humid soft cloth. DO NOT use chemicals! Use of chemicals may damage the product permanently and will void the warranty.

Try to enter either 0000 or 9999. If that doesn’t work, please contact our support via website.

This should be a low battery indicator sound. In order to remove the sound make sure you update to the latest firmware, which you can download from our Firmwares section.

Bluetooth Update procedure:

 

Here are the critical system requirement for the software update.

  • Windows ( If you run Vista you may need to install an additional package to recognise the USB device contact us if any issues.)
  • USB port on your computer.
  • CSR DFU Wizard you can download here.*

Note that the file name must have the following extension .dfu. The system will not recognise the file if it is named differently. The name of the file has not impact on this process.

Step 1 – Get your AeroTwist Ready for update

For the steps of performing USB firmware update for MCU.

  • Turn the AeroTwist On by pressing the power button.
  • Using the USB cable, connect AeroTwist to the Computer running Windows. (Below an example of the USB Cable)

  • Press and hold at the same time the Minus and the Power button for 3 seconds.
  • On your Windows Computer you will see an addition to your USB devices.
  • If you see a new device added to your Windows computer USB. Congratulations, your AeroTwist is now connected to your computer and ready to be updated.
  • If you have issues please contact your reseller or contact us from our contact page

Step 2 – Update AeroTwist Bluetooth

  • Make sure you have all the software tools for the upgrade. See the note above for more details.
  • Install CSR DFU wizard
  • Download the firmware update file and save it on your Desktop. Note, the file extension in this case is .dfu.
  • On your computer go to Start menu and then Programs, there you will find the CSR DFU wizard. Click to Open. You will have the image as below

  • Press Next to continue the wizard.

  • If not already selected Choose USB from the list

  • If you managed to get here without any problems it means that you connected your AeroTwist correctly. From the list choose “Download a new version of the firmware, without first saving a copy of the current version an click Next.

  • Click on Browse to select the .dfu that you just saved on the desktop. Note the name of the file is not relevant in this case but what is important is the extension.

  • Select the dfu file from the list and press select.

  • Press Next to start the upload.

  • It will take about 2 minutes to finish the update.

If you have the above screen the update was successful and the AeroTwist will restart automatically. You can now disconnect the USB cable form both you computer and AeroTwist.

If you have issues at this stage then repeat Step 1 from the beginning.

 

Know update failures

Possible solutions
AeroTwist is not upgrading
  • Make sure you are using Windows.
  • Make sure the file has the correct extension .dfu
  • Make sure you are following the procedure correctly.

Note: Jarre Technologies declines any responsibility on any malfunctioning due by third party software.

This is a Micro-processor Update procedure 

Note that the file name must be named TWISTMCU.bin. The system will not recognise the file if it is named differently. If the file you have is named in a different way, rename it to TWISTMCU.bin

Update procedure

For the steps of performing USB firmware update for MCU.

  • Plug the power supply into the unit.
  • Turn On the product by pressing the Power button.
  • Connect the Thumb drive (USB Stick) containing the “TWISTMCU.bin” file to the Micro USB – USB OTG cable.

  • Connect the cable to the micro USB port located on the Speaker.
  • Press and hold at the same time the power button and the plus button for 3 seconds.
  • Release the button as soon as the white LED will quickly flash
  • Press the Power button to start the product again.

Know update failures

Possible solutions
The white LED is steady ON after I have done the update.
  • Make sure the file is named correctly TWISTMCU.bin
  • There should be no other file in the memory stick apart from the TWISTMCU.bin
  • Make sure your memory stick has been formatted as FAT32

The AeroTwist does not support True Wireless Stereo. This feature is only available in the AeroBull HD, AeroBull XS1, AeroSkull HD and AeroSkull XS models.


AeroSystem One

AeroSystem One

You can clean the speaker by using a humid soft cloth. DO NOT use chemicals! Use of chemicals may damage the product permanently and will void the warranty.

The AeroSystem One has been discontinued and is no longer in production. If you’re experiencing issues with your AeroSystem One or if you would like to have more information about this discontinued product, please contact us.

Unfortunately, we no longer carry spare units of the remote control for replacement or sale. However, the original infrared codes (which you can import into an app in order to transfer them to a physical universal remote of your choice) can be obtained as described below.

OPTION A (Using the Anymote app for Android or iOS):

  1. Download AnyMote from the Google or Apple Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.remotefairy4 or https://itunes.apple.com/dm/app/anymote-smart-remote/id881829455?mt=8 Notes: *Android version requires an Android device with IR port **iOS version requires external infrared module
  2. Download AeroSystemOne.amsr and copy the file to your Android SD card, making sure that you remember the location where you have saved the file.
  3. Open the AnyMote app and go to settings (top-right icon)
  4. Choose “Import remote form file”
  5. Go to the folder/location where you have saved the file, and select it
  6. Choose “Import”

After going through the steps above, all of the buttons of your AeroSystem One remote are shown on the screen of the app. You can also customize the app’s layout (custom remote) to make it look like a proper remote controlReferences and further support :

OPTION B (Using your own/custom infrared solution):

Besides the Anymore-Compatible solution, you can also try to use the raw infrared command codes with your custom automation or control of choice. Download the raw codes by right clicking the link below and “saving file as”:

This option will require additional technical knowledge from your side in order to import the raw codes into other types of apps or home automation systems. Please notice that Jarre Technologies cannot provide support on this regards.

 

You can control the volume of the AeroSystem One using the button located at the top of the speaker.

Volume Down – Press and Hold the button on top of your AeroSystem ONE this will decrease the volume.

Volume Up – Press and Hold the button on top of the AeroSystem ONE, this will initiate the Volume Down, release the button and immediately repeat the same action, this will increase the volume.

AeroSystem One does not support FLAC files through the USB. FLAC files shall be converted to mp3 format.
